2. Hosting
This website is hosted by Vercel Inc., 440 N Barranca Ave #4133, Covina, CA 91723, USA. When you visit the pages, Vercel processes technically necessary data (e.g. IP address, date and time, page requested, browser type) in server log files. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is a secure and reliable website. The log files we have access to are deleted after 30 days at the latest. Vercel is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework; standard contractual clauses also apply.
Fonts are hosted locally. Opening the page does not connect to servers of Google or any other font provider.
3. Cookie-free audience measurement
To understand how many visitors open our page, click the price button and submit a pre-order, we record these events on our server. We do not set cookies or store anything on your device for this measurement. From your IP address, browser identifier and the current date we create, using a secret key, a pseudonymous identifier that changes daily. The IP address itself is not stored. We also store the campaign parameters from the address you opened (utm_source, utm_campaign, utm_term) and the language version of the page.
The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is measuring whether our offer attracts interest. The data is stored in our database with Neon, LLC, a subsidiary of Databricks, Inc. (160 Spear Street, Suite 1300, San Francisco, CA 94105, USA), on servers in Frankfurt am Main (EU) and deleted no later than six months after the end of the test phase. Neon is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
4. Pre-order
When you submit the pre-order form, we store your website address, city and email address, the keyword of the ad that brought you to us and the language you chose. We use this data only to process your pre-order and to contact you about it by email; you receive a confirmation right after submitting (see section 6). The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures). The details are required; without them we cannot process the pre-order.
The data is stored in the same database with Neon (Frankfurt am Main, EU, see section 3). If the service does not go ahead, we let you know and delete your data no later than six months after the end of the test phase. If a contract is concluded, we keep the data for as long as needed to perform it and to meet statutory retention obligations.
5. Contact form and email enquiries
When you write to us via the contact form or by email, we process your email address, your name (if given), the language you chose and the content of your message in order to answer your enquiry. Email address and message are required so that we can reply; your name is optional. Messages from the form are forwarded to our mailbox by email (see section 6) and are not stored on the website. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR where your enquiry concerns a contract or your pre-order, otherwise Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in answering enquiries). We delete the message once your enquiry has been dealt with.
6. Sending emails and mailbox
We use Resend (Plus Five Five, Inc., 2261 Market Street #5039, San Francisco, CA 94114, USA) to send emails, via servers in Ireland (EU). This involves processing your email address and the content of the message; Resend keeps sending logs for 30 days. The legal basis is the same as for the respective purpose (sections 4 and 5). Resend is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
Our mailbox is hosted by Google (Gmail; Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA). It receives emails sent to us, messages from the contact form and notifications about pre-orders. Emails to addresses at kenntdieki.de are forwarded to this mailbox by our domain provider Porkbun LLC (742 Ocean Club Place, Fernandina Beach, FL 32034, USA). Google is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework; standard contractual clauses are in place with Porkbun.
7. Google Ads conversion tracking
Only if you give your consent in the cookie banner do we load Google Ads conversion tracking (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). Google then sets cookies to measure whether a visit via one of our ads led to a click on the price button or to a pre-order. In doing so, Google processes, among other things, your IP address, cookie identifiers, the ad click ID and the page you visited. The cookies are valid for up to 90 days. We only receive aggregated statistics from Google that do not identify you. We do not use personalised advertising.
The legal basis is your consent under Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR and § 25 (1) TDDDG. Data may be transferred to Google LLC in the USA; Google is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. You can withdraw your consent at any time via the “Cookie settings” link in the footer. We store your choice in your browser's local storage (§ 25 (2) no. 2 TDDDG).
8. Your rights
You have the right to
- access (Art. 15 GDPR),
- rectification (Art. 16 GDPR),
- erasure (Art. 17 GDPR),
- restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR),
- data portability (Art. 20 GDPR),
- withdraw consent with effect for the future (Art. 7 (3) GDPR).
Right to object (Art. 21 GDPR): where we process your data on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (sections 2, 3 and 5), you can object at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation. We will then stop processing the data unless we demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests, or the processing serves the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.
To exercise these rights, contact kontakt@kenntdieki.de. You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, in particular in the EU member state of your habitual residence or place of work (Art. 77 GDPR).
There is no automated decision-making, including profiling (Art. 22 GDPR).
